Associate Email with Google Account

The resident only pages of the website require an email and password login. That requires a google account. If you already have a gmail address and that is the address that you have provided to HOAMCO, you're all set. If you have a non-gmail email address (such as @hotmail, @yahoo, etc.), you will need to associate that address with a google account. Here is how to do that (If you need more help with this, there are several instructional YouTube videos around that demonstrate the necessary steps)

  • Open the Create Google Account page (click on this line) - This will open in a new browser tab

  • Enter your First and Last name in the boxes provided

  • Click on the Use my current email address instead line

  • Enter your current non-gmail email address

  • Provide a password (this can be the password associated with your email account or a different one)

  • Click on Next

  • A new page is shown where you will need to enter a verification code. Google will send an email to the email address that you provided with that code. You will then enter that code to confirm that it is you associating that email with a google account. Once you have entered the code, click Verify

  • A new page is shown where you can provide your phone number for account recovery. Google will also ask for your birthdate - you have to enter something valid, but it doesn't need to be your actual date. Then click on Next

  • A new page is shown with Google's Privacy and Terms. Read through them. Click on I Agree

  • It will then take between 24 and 36 hours for Google to update its account records before you can access the resident only pages. If you attempt to access the pages prior to Google updating its records, you will see a 404 error, page not found.
